AREP’s Development and Construction Department is led by Greg Rowles. As Managing Director, Greg is responsible for the oversight of AREP’s portfolio-wide greenfield development, building repositioning, capital improvement and tenant improvement activities and leads a team of seasoned professional in data center and office construction with over 30M square feet of projects completed.

 

Since 2010, Greg and his team have successfully managed over 16 million square feet of work totaling more than $1.5 billion in project costs. He has been specifically responsible for the delivery of some of AREP’s most complex and challenging projects including the planning and third party oversight of two major data center projects and the installation of over seventy miles of network infrastructure at Quantum Park in Ashburn, Virginia.

Prior to joining AREP in 2007, Greg was the Director of Construction and Project Management for AOL (formerly America Online, Inc.), where he was responsible for all construction and development activities associated with AOL’s six million square foot, global real estate portfolio including data center, software development center, call center and corporate headquarters construction.  Prior to joining AOL, Greg was a senior executive at Holder Construction, responsible for large scale commercial data center construction projects.
